St Peter's Centre for Education
The Centre offers bespoke programmes linked to national curriculum units in RE for students from Reception, Y1 - Y6. We are facilitating learning through stimulating and sensory activities that underpin the knowledge required by the national curriculum and the syllabus for Brighton and Hove schools. It could also be designed to help teachers address cross-curricular requirements, for example in Art or History, and is ideal for off-timetable outings and trips.
The Centre creates an active link between the church as a living building, and the city. This is part of the outreach and mission of the church, in presenting it as a place of worship and learning. We can also help you connect with other faiths so as to facilitate complete coverage of the national curriculum in Religious Education.
We are in the process of developing our Equal Opportunities policy to incorporate the Disability Discrimination Act (1995) so as to include all people into the life of the church as fully as possible.
We can accommodate groups of up to 30 for a two-hour visit and programme, £2.50 per child, accompanying adults free. The Centre is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am - 3.30pm.
